Graduates of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program have job opportunities in the positions of medical secretary, medical documentarian, archive supervisor, patient consultant of government or private institutions and organizations providing services in the field of health. In addition, graduates of the program work in clinics, outpatient clinics, medical libraries, laboratories, exam rooms, health consulting and pharmaceutical medical companies, medical units such as operating rooms, emergency departments, branch centers of private and public health institutions. Considering that these tasks, which were mostly performed in the past by doctors, nurses or people who were not qualified in this field, will be performed by graduates of the program, it seems that the job opportunities are wide.

There are also many opportunities for development and advancement for medical secretaries. As medical secretaries gain experience and complete the necessary training, they have the opportunity to progress in their careers. For example, experienced medical secretaries may be promoted to positions of manager or department supervisor. In addition, they can specialize in the field of information technology in the healthcare sector and target roles such as a health information systems manager or a health informatics specialist.

In the Health Information Systems course of our university, we offer practical training opportunities to our students. Within the scope of this course, we provide the opportunity to practice using the Intermedia HIMS (Hospital Information Management System) Intermedia program, which is an important part of modern health information systems. By learning to use this software effectively in real-world scenarios, our students increase their chances of finding a job in the healthcare sector after graduation and start one step ahead in their careers. Thanks to this practical training, we offer an environment in which our students have the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and develop their professional competencies.

The health sector is a constantly growing and changing sector, and therefore medical secretaries usually have the assurance of a stable job. In addition, there are various employment options available, such as full-time, part-time or periodic positions. In addition, graduates of the program will have the opportunity to receive undergraduate education and develop their careers by taking advantage of the right of vertical transfer. The language of education is Turkish.
