KNIFE TRAINING WAS GIVEN TO COOK CANDIDATES
With the support of Pirge Bıçak Academy, an event was held where all the details about professional knife equipment and knife use were taught to the students of the Cooking Program of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services on the topic “Cutting Tools and Knives Today”.
In this context, in order to increase the competencies of our cook candidates in the sector, training officers Tankut Paçacı and Sadık Doğan of Pirge ompany, having more than 140 years of experience in cutlery, shared with the students the structure of the knife, its grip styles, its types according to the place it is used in the kitchen, color coding, the importance of the knife in chopping techniques, cutting tools in pastry, the points to be considered while sharpening and cleaning the knives.
As a result of the sharpening experiment, Pirge knives were given to students as a gift who learned how to sharpen knives in practice.
