We define all concrete and abstract values created by man and nature during the history of civilization as cultural and natural heritage. The preservation of these values and the transmission of them to future generations without deterioration is a common concern of existing societies. Considering that all these societies exist with their histories, the importance of preserving cultural heritages and transferring them to future generations comes to the fore even more.
The protection of cultural heritage is as important for establishing the values of the future as the past.
At this point, in order to transfer the tangible cultural and natural heritage found in the lands on which societies live to future generations, restoration, conservation and documentation activities should be carried out in a planned and scientific manner. It is envisaged to train technical personnel who can apply all these activities in a conscious and scientific manner, in international standards, follow modern developments, and are equipped with practical and theoretical skills.
