Department of Medical Pharmacology

Pharmacology means “pharmaceutical science”. It is an area related to many branches of science that studies the relationship between biological systems in the process from the development of new drugs to their introduction, including pre-clinical and post-clinical research.

The drug is one of the most important parts of the treatment processes. Therefore, we aim to train our students at Istanbul Arel University as physicians and health professionals who are equipped with pharmaceutical knowledge, responsible, problem solving skills, who know how to access the right information, who can adapt quickly to developments in the light of modern science.

Besides Faculty of Medicine, in accordance with these goals, the course of Pharmacology is conducted in School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, and the Departments of Nursing; on the other hand,  the course of Food and Drug Interactions is conducted  in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
