Tourist Guidance Program

The Tourism Guidance Program, which can adapt to the changing tourism sector conditions, has high communication skills, attaches importance to human health and ethical values, has the principle of loyalty to the country and knows its social responsibilities, aims to employ its students in many areas where tourism services are provided, and to get professional tourist guiding certificate.In the “The Tourism Strategy of Turkey-2023” action plan, it is aimed to increase the share received from tourism by using the natural, cultural, historical and geographical values of our country and developing tourism alternatives. In line with this goal, tourism investments have gained momentum in our country in recent years. The number of incoming tourists has increased and the need for a qualified tourist guide has become obvious. In addition, the Tourist Guidance Law, which came into force in 2012, defined the standards of the tourist guidance profession, and tourist guidance has become a favorite profession.

Students who will study in Istanbul, the most important cultural tourism location in Turkey, will have the opportunity to receive practical training with the support of leading tourism agencies and will gain a place in the sector shortly after graduation. In addition, in line with the goals of “Lifelong Learning”, it shows the feature of being a unique program where adults can also receive re-education in order to improve themselves.

Moreover, the education of individuals who have gained competence in accordance with the relevant Law in order to properly and consistently promote Turkey to other countries also constitutes an important dimension.

Students who graduate from the program can find employment opportunities by accompanying tourists and managing the tour depending on various travel agencies on all tours Outgoing, Incoming, Ingoing (Local) after membership in TUREB.
