The 6th edition of the book was published by Efil Publishing House in Turkey in 2021. The book includes microorganisms that cause food spoilage and food borne diseases, food preservation, and microbial contamination in foods.
This book was published in 2016 as two volumes by the overseas publishing house “John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.” In the book, microorganisms that cause food spoilage and diseases, immune responses to pathogens, ways of transmission of microorganisms with food and protection of food are included.

In the book, microorganism culture reproduction, microbial microscopic methods, biochemical and serological methods and antimicrobial and environmental factors affecting microorganisms, which are general microbiology laboratory applications, are included visually and in detail.
