Opticianry

It is rumored that the glasses were invented by Bacon towards the end of the 13th century. According to this rumor, Bacon informed his friend Goethal about his invention. During a trip to Italy, he also revealed this secret to one of the priests of Pisa, Spina, and a Florentine named Salvato d’amarti spread the use of glasses.  Historical documents agree that glasses were used in the last twenty years of the 13th century. In the middle of the 14th century, glasses have become very common now.

In parallel with the increase in the demand for glasses due to the developing level of society, new retail companies have been established and in the sector, all segments of which are completely based on imports, wholesalers of eyeglasses, glass and frames have been formed. Innovation and development in all aspect of the sector began after the 1980s, and great progress has been made with the effort to carry every layer of the sector from production to retail and laboratory work level to the level of advanced countries.

Job Opportunities

Graduates of the Opticianry program can work in eye hospitals, eye outpatient clinics of hospitals, optical stores, glass-frame manufacturing centers, contact lens production places, warehouses and universities selling optical equipment, and if they wish, they can open and run a free eyeglass store.
