Within the scope of the implementation of the internal control function at Istanbul Arel University, COSO Internal Control Methodology was applied and it was aimed to structure internal control at the university and to initiate internal audit activity within the scope of International Auditing Standards and International Professional Practice Framework.

Today, the main goal of the public and private sectors is to implement mechanisms that will increase performance . In order to serve this purpose, the principle of good governance has become a guiding principle for foundation universities as well as public universities. In this direction, by emphasizing the principles of predictability, transparency, accountability, responsibility, equity, participation, and effectiveness, and by considering the corporate risk management framework, it will be ensured that our university’s efficient, effective, and efficient internal control system is established and internal audit is carried out.
