International Trade and Finance (Eng.) Program Learning Outcomes (PLO)
PLO 1 Understands the basic issues of international finance such as global financial system, international economy, international monetary system, balance of payments, exchange rates, foreign direct investment and their relationship with international trade.
PLO 2 Interpret advanced theoretical and/or practical knowledge about the historical course, concepts, models and theories of international trade and the basic subjects of Business, Finance and Economics disciplines.
PLO 3 Use the advanced knowledge and skills in the field to carry out the basic functions related to the field in an integrity.
PLO 4 Analyze unforeseen complex problems that arise in the execution of business functions and develop solutions based on research and evidence.
PLO 5 Understand the basic motivations underlying international trade and interpret the key variables shaping today’s global trade.
PLO 6 Understand the nature of international capital flows and analyze the role of national macroeconomic policies.
PLO 7 Evaluate the existing practices in the field and put forward suggestions for continuous improvement of existing practices.
PLO 8 Transfer the knowledge and skills acquired in the field to those working under their responsibility within the scope of a project.
PLO 9 Take responsibility and risk individually and as a group member to solve various unforeseen complex problems related to the field, and take innovative initiatives.
PLO 10 Take responsibility individually or as a team member in the execution of complex and unpredictable activities encountered in applications related to the field.
PLO 11 Carry out an advanced study related to the field independently.
PLO 12 Manage activities for the development of employees under their responsibility within the framework of a project.
PLO 13 Take risk and responsibility in the realization of knowledge, ideas, practices or technologies that bring innovation to the field.
PLO 14 Take responsibility for transforming knowledge and skills into ideas/approaches/technologies/products with high social/cultural/economic added value by evaluating risks and opportunities related to personal, professional and/or field of study; develop entrepreneurial competence individually or as a team member.
PLO 15 Evaluate the advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a critical approach.
PLO 16 Identify learning needs, plan and manage activities to improve the performance of themselves and those under their responsibility in line with learning objectives.
PLO 17 Inform the relevant people and institutions about the issues related to the field by transferring their thoughts and suggestions for solutions to problems in written and verbally.
PLO 18 Share their thoughts on issues related to their field and their suggestions for solutions to problems with experts and non-experts by supporting them with quantitative and qualitative data.
PLO 19 Use a foreign language (English) at least at the European Language Portfolio B1 General Level, follow the developments in the field and communicate with colleagues.
PLO 20 Use information and communication technologies to the extent required by the field based on the computer usage competence defined in the Advanced Level of the European Computer Driving License.
PLO 21 Organize and implement projects and activities for the social environment in which they live with a sense of social responsibility.
PLO 22 Act in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the results of the data related to the field.
PLO 23 Carry out activities related to the field in line with the awareness of the universality of social rights, social justice, quality culture and cultural values, environmental protection, occupational health and safety.
