Mission
In alignment with the mission of Istanbul Arel University, which is to “conduct education, research, and community service activities in accordance with international quality standards; raise individuals who are sensitive to Atatürk’s Principles and Republic Values, aware of being global citizens, respectful of the rule of law, ethical principles, human rights, and differences, capable of critical and creative thinking, and have high self-confidence,” the primary mission of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts is to educate students who possess universal thoughts and values, contribute to both national and global cultures, remain committed to Atatürk’s principles and Republic values, and are contemporary, productive, and research-oriented. Our goal is to provide education within the framework of contemporary aesthetic understanding.
With this aim, we are committed to being a department that helps students discover their personal interests and abilities, encourages them to unleash their creativity, and provides them with every possible research and practical environment for their development. Through the education we offer, our mission is to cultivate creative, productive, research-oriented, self-confident students who are respectful of universal and societal values and contribute to social and cultural life.
