Goals and Objectives

Objective

The Department of Industrial Engineering (English) at Istanbul AREL University aims to educate environmentally conscious industrial engineers who can thrive in the globally competitive landscape. Graduates are expected to work in various sectors that produce goods or services at national and international levels, with the ability to conduct planning and analysis, develop and implement cutting-edge and sustainable technologies such as artificial intelligence, identify and solve problems in existing systems, contribute to academic research in research institutions, and participate in interdisciplinary R&D or social responsibility projects.

Educational Objectives

The program aims to equip graduates with the following competencies:

• To take on senior-level roles and technical responsibilities in various sectors operating at both national and international levels in a competitive global environment.
• To attain the qualifications necessary to conduct academic research, develop and apply sustainable and up-to-date technologies, and participate in interdisciplinary R&D or social responsibility projects.
• To develop the capability to apply industrial engineering methods and techniques in prioritized domains by integrating them with modern technologies in line with emerging global trends.
• To engage in entrepreneurial activities through the establishment of individual ventures or strategic partnerships.

In line with these objectives, the program seeks to cultivate graduates who possess both strong technical knowledge and managerial as well as entrepreneurial skills.
