SUPPORTING STUDENTS THROUGH ARELKAM INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENTS

Arelkam announces internship postings from partner companies for students who will complete compulsory internships/on-site practice via the announcement section on the Arelkariyer web page. Students can apply to these internship postings and, if accepted, complete their internships at the respective companies. Arelkam supports all students in finding internship placements through these announcements.

In order for students to apply for postings, they must log into Arelkariyer as a student and submit their application with an up-to-date CV.

INTERNSHIP PROCEDURES

Students who will complete a compulsory or voluntary internship must register on the “arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr” student page after reaching an agreement with the company where they will do their internship. After logging in, they can carry out the application procedures in the “INTERNSHIP > INTERNSHIP APPLICATION” section with the help of the “Internship Procedures Guide”. All details regarding the application process can be found in the guide.

As the final step of the internship procedures, students must submit one company-approved copy of the Internship Approval Form/Internship Agreement to Arelkam at least 10 working days before the internship start date. If this document is not submitted, the student’s insurance procedures will not start, and even if the student completes the internship, it will be considered invalid.

RULES FOR COMPULSORY INTERNSHIP / ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

Students who will complete a compulsory internship must follow the internship rules carefully to avoid any issues during the process.

All students doing a Compulsory Summer Internship must complete all internship procedures via “arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr” and deliver an approved copy of the Internship Approval Form/Internship Agreement to Arelkam offices at least 10 working days before the internship start date.

Insurance coverage is provided only between the start and end dates written on the Internship Approval Form/Internship Agreement. Internships cannot be carried out outside these dates; if they are, they will be considered invalid.

Students doing the Compulsory Summer Internship do not have the right to absenteeism. Absences are allowed only in cases of force majeure due to health issues, supported by a medical report from a fully equipped state hospital. In such cases, Arelkam must be informed, and the missing days must be completed by extending the internship beyond the original end date.

Internships cannot be less than seven and a half hours per day excluding lunch breaks. Half-day work is not counted. Internships cannot be performed on Sundays or public holidays, and if done, they will not be accepted. Students doing “On-the-Job Training” during the semester also cannot do internships on days when they have classes or exams.

The Compulsory Summer Internship must consist of five full weekdays. If the company works full-time on Saturdays, students may also complete internships on Saturdays. However, students taking summer school courses may complete internships along with summer school by working at least three full days per week.

INTERNSHIP REPORT SUBMISSION PROCESS

The internship report is given only to students completing a Compulsory Internship/On-the-Job Training, and filling it out is mandatory. Students who have completed internship procedures can access their internship report through the “Internship Status” section on “arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr”. The report must be filled out completely and approved by the company official. Submission deadlines vary by faculty. Internship reports must be submitted to Arelkam within the timeframe stated in the relevant Faculty/Vocational School Internship Directive. Otherwise, the report may not be accepted.
