It trains individuals with the qualified, technical skills and knowledge needed by the aviation sector. The aviation sector is a sector that continues to develop in the world and in Turkey, has not reached saturation in terms of employment and constantly needs qualified personnel. In order to meet this need, the Civil Air Transportation Management Program aims to train individuals who will work in airline companies, airport companies, cargo and logistics companies, and ground handling companies.

 

In order to provide our students with the technical (operational) and managerial (administrative) skills required for aviation activities, courses such as Airport Management, Airline Management, Passenger Services, Ramp, Operation, Cargo Operations, Aviation Security, Air Logistics, Human Resources in Aviation, Dangerous Goods, etc. are given.

 

In addition to vocational courses, aviation communication techniques, personal care and elegance, leadership, stress and time management, world cultures, etc. are taught. The curriculum of the Civil Air Transportation Management program is updated in accordance with the constantly developing aviation technologies and aviation rules. Thus, individuals with high awareness who are adapted to all innovations and developments in the sector are trained.

The curriculum of the program is prepared entirely according to the needs of sector stakeholders and aviation businesses. The lecturers who teach in the program are experts in their fields with many years of aviation sector experience.

 

Students enrolled in the Civil Air Transport Management Program are required to complete a 30-day internship. Through this experience, students gain insight into the industry, establish valuable professional connections, and acquire a clearer vision for shaping their future careers.

 

Arel University actively collaborates with numerous companies in the industry to assist students in finding internship opportunities and securing employment. The university also establishes cooperation protocols to strengthen industry ties and enhance job placement support.

 

Admission Criteria

 

Score Type: Students are admitted based on the TYT (Basic Proficiency Test) score type.

 

Education Location

Students will receive their education at Arel University Vocational School, Sefaköy Campus.

 

Program Duration

The Civil Air Transport Management Program has a duration of 2 years.

 

Special Requirements for Enrollment

 

To be eligible for this program, students must:

 

Have no criminal record or criminal archive record that would prevent them from obtaining an airport entry card.

 

Obtain a medical board report from a fully equipped hospital within the last six months, confirming that they do not have any health issues that would prevent them from performing their duties in this profession.

 

English Language Training

 

Students enrolled in the Civil Air Transport Management Program will receive:

 

112 hours of basic English courses

84 hours of aviation English courses before graduation.

Additionally, students have the option to enroll in a one-year voluntary English preparatory program before starting their vocational courses.

 

Vertical Transfer Exam

 

The Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) is an exam that allows associate degree graduates to transfer to 4-year undergraduate programs. Graduates of the Civil Air Transportation Management Program have the opportunity to transfer to many undergraduate programs under different faculties with DGS. Thus, in addition to the associate degree diploma they have, they can also obtain a bachelor’s degree.
