COMPULSORY INTERNSHIP / PRACTICE AT WORK

The mandatory internship periods applied at our university are as follows.

The Mandatory Summer Internship period in all Vocational School programs is 30 working days. There are no Mandatory Summer Internships only in the Civil Aviation Cabin Services and Applied English Translation departments.

At the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, there is a Mandatory Summer Internship of 20 working days only in the department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, and there are no Mandatory Summer Internships in other departments.

The Mandatory Summer Internship period from the departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts is 30 working days.

In the Graphic Design department; (1) Agency internship and (2) Printing internship

In the department of Fashion and Textile Design; (1) Textile Internship (Printing or Weaving) and

(2) They can do a total of 30 days from 15 days in each field, including Fashion Internship (Clothing).

The Cartoon and Animation department is held in digital agencies related to the field, and the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department is held in restaurants, hotels, cafes, catering and food enterprises engaged in industrial kitchen production in the form of 30 days.

Internship for the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts 6. It starts after the semester is completed and is performed in one go. In other Sections, it is 4.an internship can be started after the semester is completed.

The Mandatory Summer Internship period at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences is 30 working days. Turkish English/Turkish departments of Political Science and Public Administration and Department of International Relations do not have Compulsory Summer Internship however.

The Mandatory Summer Internship period at the Faculty of Communication is 30 working days.

Practice in the workplace at the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture, 3. during the summer semester of the class, or 4. it is performed as 28 working days in the semester in which the Application Course is registered in the classroom.

Clinical course applications at the Faculty of Health Sciences are carried out by the heads of departments of the School, and no internship process is performed by Arelkam. You can contact your consultant teacher for details.

Institute of Social Sciences There are 30 working days in Clinical Psychology Master’s Degree programs and 60 working days in clinical practice in doctoral programs.

VOLUNTARY INTERNSHIP

Students studying in all Faculties / Schools and departments of our university can do a voluntary internship if they want. During the voluntary internship period, Occupational Accident and Occupational Disease insurance transactions are carried out by the University and for this purpose “arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr “ all internship procedures required from the student page must be completed.

VOCATIONAL SCHOOL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS PUBLIC /PUBLIC HOSPITALS INTERNSHIP PLACEMENT PROCESS

Students who will do a mandatory summer internship from the Health departments of MYO (Oral and Dental Health, Dental Prosthesis Technology, Anesthesia, Physiotherapy, First and Emergency Aid, Health Institutions Management, Medical Documentation and Secretarial, Medical Imaging Techniques and Medical Laboratory Techniques) are invited to apply in February every year.C.They can apply through the Career Gate National Internship Program, in which University Career Centers are also participants, under the coordination of the Presidential Human Resources Office.

The National Internship Program is an internship platform where all our students can apply, but especially the Department of Health allows our students to apply for mandatory summer internships at Public/Public hospitals and to settle for internships at Public/Public hospitals.

Since public / State hospitals do not receive applications from students in a different way other than the Career Door, our health department students who will do a mandatory summer internship must definitely apply to the National Internship Program.

Marching February – March every year is the application time for the National Internship Program, but when the application dates are finalized, we will also inform our students through announcement channels.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS THROUGH ARELKAM INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENTS

Arelkam announces the internship announcements of the companies with which it is a solution partner in the ads section of the Arelkariyer web page for students who will do a mandatory internship / on-site application. Our students can do their internships at the relevant companies if they are accepted by applying for internship announcements. Arelkam supports all students in finding an internship place through ads.

* In order for our students to apply for the ads, they must apply with their up-to-date resumes by entering the student Arelkariyer.

INTERNSHIP PROCEDURES

Students who will do a Compulsory or Voluntary Internship, after agreeing with the company where they will do an internship, for internship procedures “ arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr ” the student must be a member of the page. Students who are members can perform the application procedures in the “INTERNSHIP > INTERNSHIP APPLICATION ” tab by taking the help of the “ Internship Procedures Guide ” after the student has entered. All the details about the internship application procedures are contained in the manual and you can easily perform your internship procedures by using this manual.

COMPULSORY INTERNSHIP / RULES OF PRACTICE IN THE WORKPLACE

Students who will do a compulsory internship should pay attention to the internship rules in order not to have any problems during the internship process.

All students who will do a Mandatory Summer Internship /Practice at Work “arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr “ he must complete all internship procedures at the address and deliver an approved copy of the internship approval form / internship agreement to the Arelkam offices at least 10 business days before the internship start date.

Since the internship insurance is provided between the start and end dates of the internship written in the internship approval form / Internship contract, the internship cannot be performed outside these dates and will be Decried as invalid if it is performed.

Students who are doing a Mandatory Summer Internship / Practice at Work do not have the right to absenteeism during the internship period. He can only make excused absences with the health report received from fully fledged state hospitals due to force majeure health problems. In case of being reported, it should be reported to Arelkam, the missing days reported should be added to the end of the internship completion period and the internship should be done as many days as the number of missing days.

No internship can be done for less than seven and a half hours per day, except for lunch break. Half-day work is not considered an internship. Internships cannot be held on Sundays, public holidays and are also not accepted in case of internships. Students who do ‘Practice at Work’ during the semester also cannot do internship/practice on the days of courses and exams.

The Compulsory Summer Internship cannot be done for less than 5 full days on weekdays. Saturday Saturday internship can also be done if the company is working full-time on Saturdays. However, students who take courses from the summer school can do an internship together with the summer school, provided that they do an internship 3 full days a week.

INTERNSHIP BOOK DELIVERY PROCESS

The internship book is only given to students who are doing a Mandatory Internship /Practice at work and it is mandatory to be filled in by these students. Students who have completed their internship procedures “ arelkariyer.arel.edu.tr they can access the internship book organized by their names from the “Internship Status“ tab on the “page. The internship book must be completed completely by the students who are doing a compulsory internship and must be fully and completely approved by the company official. The delivery time of the internship book may vary depending on the faculties. The internship books should be delivered to the Arelkam offices within the time specified in the relevant Faculty/School internship directive. Otherwise, your internship book may not be accepted.

Students of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture will submit the application file to the Head of the Department where they are students after having Arelkam approve the application file until the Final exams of the semester in which the Application course is registered at Work.
