VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

The increase in inter-country relations with the acceleration of globalization and tourism causes the importance of air transportation to increase day by day. The quality of air transportation largely depends on the quality of aircraft maintenance services. However, our country, which is a candidate to become one of the important centers of the world in the field of civil aviation maintenance services, has aspired to provide aircraft maintenance services to more than 100 countries. It is estimated that the Turkish Civil Aviation sector, which attracts attention with its knowledge and experience, especially in Eurasia, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans, needs aircraft maintenance technicians.

Aircraft maintenance services in air transportation cover basic english, basic electrical, aircraft maintenance applications, basic electronics, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and applications, aircraft systems and applications, piston engines and applications, electronic ındicators and systems, gas turbine engines and applications, aircraft ındicators and propeller, demanding refinement and quality services. With this program, it is aimed to train expert staff who will work in aircraft maintenance services in the management of enterprises in the civil aviation sector.

The curriculum of the Aircraft Technology Program of the Vocational School of our University has also been prepared in accordance with the SHY-66 Module contents determined by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. In addition, the content and books of the Basic Electrical-Electronics and Basic Aerodynamics courses in our program were reviewed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and credits were given for our graduates who entered Module 3 (Basic Electrical) and Module 8 (Basic Aerodynamics) in 2015 and later in all categories except category C (A1, A2, A3, A4, B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B1.4, B2, B3) to obtain the SHY-66 Aircraft Maintenance License.
