As of the 2020 – 2021 academic year, the department provides applied (18 hours) and theoretical (28 hours) Communication Skills in Term 1, and theoretical courses (16 hours) in Mental Health and Diseases Semiology in Term 3 as of the 2022 – 2023 academic year.

Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, Term 5 applied and practical Mental Health and Diseases internship courses and starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, Term 6 applied and practical Mental Health and Diseases internship courses will be conducted in cooperation with Bahçelievler Memorial Hospital.

Prof. Dr. Ercan ABAY has been the Head of the Department of Mental Health and Diseases of the Faculty since December 2019.
